Fundraisers

Boone Sunrise Rotary has two reoccurring fundraisers. The Fruit Sale takes place before Christmas, in time for beautiful fruit to arrive for the holiday season. And the second is the High Country Jazz Festival which occurs in early June. 

Fruit Sale

Boone Sunrise Rotary is once again hosting our annual fruit sale. 100% of the profits from our sale go towards local, regional and international Rotary projects.

Our fruit is delicious and we hope you will consider making a purchase of fruit for your own enjoyment, as a gifts for your family members, friends or colleagues. We also encourage you to consider purchasing fruit to be donated to one of several local organizations in our community that help address food insecurity.

We proudly partner with Florida Indian River Groves for delicious fruit. This year, the naval oranges will come from a grove in California. All boxes of fruit are unconditionally guaranteed.

There are several ways to make your purchase:

 

  1. Order Now and Pay Online:

Place your order at Florida Indian River Groves by November 16, 2025 for pickup in Boone between December 11 – 13. We will notify you with the details on date, times and location for pick up.

  1. Order Now and Pay at Pick up on December 11th -13th:

  1. Deliver Fruit as a Gift

Fruit baskets make a great gift and can be shipped anywhere in the continental United States. Order at Florida Indian River Groves by December 14, 2025 for guaranteed delivery to your recipient by December 24, 2025.

  1. Donate fruit to help us feed folks in the High Country who face food insecurity.

If you don’t want to order fruit but want to support Rotary’s efforts, we’re continuing an option: Purchase a box to be given to the Health and Hunger Coalition, Casting Bread, Hospitality House of Western North Carolina or one of the many organizations in the High Country who assist people who are facing food insecurity. With a donation of fruit, your gift does double duty…you feed people and give funds to Rotary projects.  In 2023, our customers donated over 40 boxes of fruit!

To do this, place your order online at Florida Indian River Groves and you will be asked at checkout, “Which seller would you like to credit for this order?” Simply choose “Food Insecurity,” and our club will deliver your donation to one of the organizations mentioned above.

  1. Make a donation of lieu of ordering fruit.

You can also skip the fruit and simply make a donation directly to Boone Sunrise Rotary. We’d love to have you join us in serving our beloved community. Your check payable to Boone Sunrise Rotary, with “Fruit Sale” in the memo, can be mailed to Boone Sunrise Rotary at P O Box 2084, Boone, NC 28607.

The Boone Sunrise Rotary Club is proud to partner with the Appalachian Theatre & Appalachian State University’s Jazz Studies program to present the 5th Annual High Country Jazz Festival.

Performances will be announced in 2026.
